Welcome to your new profession!
Whether you have previous chiropractic knowledge or this is your first experience with chiropractic, the CTA Program will give you the information you need to be a true professional in this field.
Keep in mind, as a CTA applicant, the TN Board of Chiropractic Examiners requires you to have successfully passed your proctored TN CTA State Examination before starting any CTA clinical hours and you are not eligible to begin working in the clinical role until that time. Therefore, it is to your advantage to schedule your proctored CTA State Exam as soon as possible after completing your CTA Program.
You’ll find all of your online CTA Program components on your profile page under the “My Courses” tab when you log in to www.ctaprogram.com. If you have chosen to receive physical copies of the CTA Textbook and Workbook they are being mailed* to you and should arrive soon. While the materials are independent components of study, all of the materials in this program work together to prepare you for the Tennessee CTA State Exam.
Steps for completing your CTA Program:
1) The textbook and workbook should be completed chapter by chapter. Review each chapter in the textbook before you begin the corresponding chapter in the workbook. Specific instructions are provided in the workbook for further guidance as you work your way through each chapter review.
2) Review the video component(s) for each chapter which will reinforce the material you have studied and provide actual demonstrations of clinical procedures.
3) Upon completing your study of all the materials and review quizzes, you will have access to a CTA Practice Quiz. Unlike the State Exam, the CTA Practice Quiz is comprised of 50 questions, rather than 100, and is not timed. The Practice Quiz allows up to 5 opportunities for a passing score, as a benefit to your other review studies for State Exam preparation.
4) Once you have successfully passed, you may download and print your Certificate of Proficiency for the CTA Program which will serve as proof of obtaining your 50-hour education requirement for your Tennessee CTA licensure.
5) At this time, you will be eligible to apply for the Tennessee CTA State Examination. A link to apply online for the Tennessee CTA State Examination and more detailed information is available in the Bookstore for Tennessee on www.ctaprogram.com/bookstore-tennessee/.
The CTA Handbook with detailed information for candidates seeking Tennessee Chiropractic Therapy Assistant certification and licensure is accessible in your online CTA course materials.
